How to Choose Your First Digital Project (Without Wasting Budget)
A simple decision framework I use with founders to pick the highest-impact starting point: website, app, AI or marketing.
1. Clarify your main constraint
- If you lack credibility: start with a strong website and case studies.
- If you have demand but can’t handle it: invest in automation and operations tools.
- If people don’t know you exist: prioritise marketing and funnels.
2. Score options on impact vs. difficulty
I give each idea a 1–5 score for expected revenue impact, speed to launch and complexity. The best first project is usually high-impact, medium-effort, not “perfect but impossible”.
